Dr. Galv KnowledgeBase

News

The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) launched a new version of the association website, www.galvanizeit.org on September 4, 2013.  The new site is responsive, which means the display changes so it is optimized to the user’s device.

In addition to the responsive design, the new galvanizeit.org website will enhance the user experience with new features, prominently displayed tools, and an improved search function.  Building on the advancements of the previous version (launched in 2008), the new site will feature a more searchable Dr. Galv (technical FAQ) section, interactive KnowledgeBase, and more technical content than before.  These improved technical resources will ensure accurate, in-depth information is readily available to specifiers and fabricators at all times.

The new site will also easily direct users to some of the AGA’s most valuable marketing and educational resources including the Galvanize It! seminar program, Publications, AGA Project Gallery, Life-Cycle Cost Calculator, and the Galvanizer Locator.  These tools help educate members of the specifier community about hot-dip galvanized steel, and ensure they are able to find a provider in their area.  All of these resources are prominently displayed on the homepage, as well as in the header and footer of all pages.

Another significant change with this launch is the integration of social media.  Throughout the site, users will find social media buttons to share the AGA’s information with others.  The AGA has produced a new YouTube video on hot-dip galvanizing displayed on the homepage, and the site footer contains links to all of AGA’s social media pages, so users can interact with the association and stay abreast of news beyond the galvanizeit.org site.

Galvanizeit.org has been an authoritative resource on hot-dip galvanized steel for many years, and the latest version enhances the whole experience by streamlining access to its wealth of content.  Redesigned and developed by Visual Chefs of Richmond, Virginia, and Antistatic of Dayton, Ohio, the new site is optimized whether the user accesses it from a mobile device or a computer.  Step into the next generation, and a whole new user experience by visiting the new www.galvanizeit.org today.
