Microsite, new seminar target power market

The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) has recently launched an in-depth micro-website at www.galvanizedpower.com examining the advantages, cost, sustainability, and durability of hot-dip galvanized (HDG) steel power structures. The site delves into generation, distribution and transmission projects and how those markets are affected by corrosion and the use of HDG as a corrosion solution in diverse power markets.

The power market is a very volatile one; no one really knows what the major source of power will be in years to come. The power grid is maxed out, and very little has been done to enhance the existing infrastructure. North America’s energy demand is expected to rise approximately 30 percent, and the generation source and expansion of the power grid are still uncertain. This comprehensive website examines how to meet this growing demand by utilizing sustainable, economical hot-dip galvanized steel in power infrastructure projects.
