  Sustainable Development and Hot-Dip Galvanizing

The hot-dip galvanized coating is comprised of over 98% zinc metal. Zinc is a naturally occurring element that is commonly found in all living organisms. The environmental concerns related to using zinc metal to coat steel are minimal. Zinc and the hot-dip galvanizing process is sustainable.

The AGA has developed an eight-page brochure that outlines the characteristics of sustainable development in the galvanizing industry. The AGA has developed a strategy and framework for galvanizers to use in order to remain a sustainable company in a sustainable industry. Use the established strategy, action plan, and key indicators to kick start your sustainable dedication. As a bonus, this brochure also highlights seven sustainable hot-dip galvanized steel project applications.
